What Is PRP?
PRP is a component of the blood that stimulates the repair and regeneration of tissues. When introduced into the skin with other treatments such as micro needling, PRP increases collagen production and speeds up the healing process. PRP can also be used to slow or reverse hair loss when injected into the scalp.

In recent years, PRP facials & hair rejuvenation have gained traction in the cosmetic community as effective non-surgical skin rejuvenation. The natural benefits of using a serum produced by your own body combined with rapid healing time make this a popular option among our clients at IMAGE Medi-Spa.

How Can PRP Rejuvenate My Skin?
Microneedling and laser treatments like our Fractora create tiny microchannels in the skin, causing it to repair itself and produce new collagen. When your PRP is applied to the treated skin, it is easily absorbed and takes the treatment benefits deeper. PRP not only improves treatment results, but it also accelerates the healing process.

What Are PRP Treatments Like for Skin or Hair Rejuvenation at IMAGE Medi-Spa?
First, the skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied. Next, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm using a fine needle. The PRP is separated from the other components of the blood using a centrifuge. After the skin is numbed and cleansed again, the skin rejuvenation treatment is performed. PRP can be incorporated as follows:

With microneedling, PRP is applied while the treatment is being performed to carry the PRP deeper into the skin via the tiny needles.

With Fractora, PRP is applied to the treated skin immediately after the treatment when the skin is at its most absorbent.

As an injection, PRP is placed is injected in areas of volume loss, fine lines, hair loss, or any area needing rejuvenation.

What can I expect after my PRP treatment at IMAGE Medi-Spa?
Recovery details depend on the specific treatment you choose and how aggressively it is performed. For the first 24 hours, stay out of hot tubs, saunas, and steam baths, and avoid any type of exercise that causes sweating. After your treatment, it’s important to stay out of the sun for about 2 weeks. After 24 hours, be sure to apply a full spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 before going outdoors.
